The Summer 2019 Projects include the following scope of work:

  • Fire Loop
    This project is to install a new fire hydrant at the rear of CCMS to ensure proper coverage in case of an emergency.
  • Roof Repairs
    This project is to repair the roof of building 13 and building 7.

The Summer 2017 Projects include the following scope of work:

  • Marquees
    This project will be to add a new Digital Marquee at schools that do not currently have them.
  • Public Announcement Upgrades
    This project is to add a campus wide PA system to keep everyone on campus informed.
  • Hydration Stations
    This project is to add various Hydration Stations to the campus.
  • Library Renovation
    This project is to repurpose one section of the MS Library to be a digital / study lounge and to make improvements to the Circulation, Computer and Stacks areas.
  • Demolition of Natatorium
    This project is to demolish the Natatorium to provide additional parking and fence enclosure to the electrical panels.

This projects include the following scopes of work:

  • Marquees
    This project will be to add a new Digital Marquee at schools that do not currently have them.
  • New Bicycle & Skateboard Racks
    This project includes the installation of new bicycle and skateboard racks throughout the campus and has been completed.
  • Gymnasium Improvements
    The front gym will have new acoustic walls panels, score board and shot clocks installed.  The original folding partition will be replaced with a new vinyl curtain.  The wood floor will be completely refinished and include a painted school logo at center court.  This project is complete.
  • Multi-Purpose Room Improvements
    The improvements at Culver City Middle School Multi-Purpose Room will create a flexible space capable of functioning for student exams, teacher meetings, movies and community events.  The design will incorporate instruction on two or three walls utilizing the existing projector system equipment and adding ultra-short throw projects for smaller instructional settings or breakout sessions on multiple walls.  The scope of work is specific to technology and mobile furniture systems.  When configured, the new furniture systems will provide for individual, small group and large group learning arrangements and a testing configuration.  The furniture systems will replace the current furniture.  This project has been completed.
  • Restroom Improvements
    This project is under review as part of the District Wide and Public Survey.  A total of 8 staff and student toilet rooms are scheduled to be renovated over the summer and fall.  The renovation will include new epoxy flooring, wall tile, paint, partitions, accessories and lighting.  The existing plumbing fixtures that are in good condition will be reinstalled with new fittings.  Only 1 bid was received, which was not approved.   
  • Roof Repairs & Improvements
    A portion of the 100 hall roof that was blown off earlier this year will be replaced with a new roof.  This project has been completed.
  • Video Surveillance
    Conduit, cable and video surveillance cameras will be installed campus wide. This project has been completed.
  • Flooring Replacements
    Replace the carpeting in the Music Classrooms 1, 2 & 3 and replace the flooring in the Weight Room. This project has been completed.
  • Natatorium Roof Ladder Protective Cover
    Install a protective cover over the exterior Natatorium ladder to prevent access roof access by students.  This project will be completed by the end of February 2017.
